Our Elementary students took the spotlight at the MMC at Ludlam Road for our annual Cultural Music and Dance Show — a joyful celebration where many cultures came together through the magic of song, dance, and rhythm!Lower School students (1st–3rd Grade) delighted the audience with vibrant traditions from Argentina, Japan, and Spain, along with the energetic beats of bucket drumming and boomwhackers, all building to a spirited all-school finale of ""Oye Como Va."" Our Middle School Prep (4th & 5th Grade) took everyone on a journey around the globe with beautiful pieces from Korea, Ghana, Benin, Japan, Greece, and Italy — including the breathtaking Buchaechum fan dance, Kpanlogo, Soran Bushi, Zorba, and the Tarantella. In the weeks leading up to the show, our Cultural Music Studio came alive with the heartbeat of each culture our students explored — clapping, drumming, singing, and moving to rhythms from near and far. On the day of the performance, all of that discovery and joy shone through, as students stepped forward with confidence and pride to share what they had learned with the families, friends, and faculty who cheered them on.A heartfelt thank-you to Mrs. Annia Negrete, our wonderful music faculty, dedicated classroom teachers, and all of the families who joined us to make MusicBlooms such a truly special day.
