Alexander Parent Association

The Alexander Parents Association (APA) is a welcoming, parent-led community that helps strengthen the connection between families and school life at Alexander Montessori School. As part of a close-knit private Montessori school in Miami, the APA brings families together through shared experiences that deepen their sense of belonging within the school community.

Open to all families, the APA supports events, initiatives, and shared experiences that enrich student life, foster meaningful relationships, and build a strong sense of belonging across the school community. Through volunteer involvement, community traditions, and fundraising efforts, the APA helps create a warm, connected environment that reflects Alexander’s values of curiosity, independence, and collaboration.

APA programs

The Alexander Parents Association brings families together through connection, volunteering, celebration, and shared support for the school community. Every family is automatically part of the APA, helping create a warm, engaged environment where children and parents alike feel they belong.

Community connection

The Alexander Parents Association helps foster a warm, welcoming community where families can meet, connect, and build lasting relationships.

From casual gatherings to larger school celebrations, these shared experiences strengthen the bond between home and school and help every family feel part of something bigger.

Community connection

Volunteer involvement

Alexander parents are encouraged to play an active role in school life by volunteering their time, sharing their talents, and contributing ideas.

Through APA-sponsored events and community initiatives, families help enrich the student experience while modeling collaboration, generosity, and engagement.

Fundraising with purpose

APA fundraising helps support programs, events, and enrichment opportunities that enhance student life across the school year.

Signature moments such as the APA Cocktail Party and Gala play an important role in sustaining special experiences that strengthen the wider Alexander community.

A direct home–school partnership

At Alexander Montessori School, the parent partnership is built on direct communication between families, teachers, and school leaders rather than through a traditional PTA structure.

This allows questions and concerns to be addressed promptly, while the APA remains focused on community-building, parent leadership, and supporting a positive school experience for all.
