Our Toddlers are learning about corn!  They learned about shucking corn by peeling away the outer leaves, then breaking off the leaves and silks, and finally tidying up the cob.  They also learned how to pick kernels which helps with fine motor skills.  The kernels did not go to waste! They planted the kernels in soil and now Orchid Door has a mini corn field. Toddlers are learning to love to learn about corn!
