ELEMENTARY CAMPa
OUR ACTIVITIES ARE SECOND TO NONE...
Each activity is designed to help develop skills while promoting safety and fun. Specialists instruct where needed. A daily mix of indoor/relaxed and outdoor/high energy fun is provided. All activities have shaded areas. Activities are scheduled from 30 minutes to 2 hours in length, depending on the activity and the age/interest of the children.

• Electric Go-karts - The Campers drive our full-size, battery-powered Go-karts themselves. They are silent and safe with controlled speed. On our own banked track, the Campers are instructed in good driving habits and the control of the vehicle.
• Archery - We have a closed archery range and we emphasize safety and concentration. Different bow sizes are provided for Campers ages 6 to 12. The archers are challenged with various target sizes. We hold individual and team competitions.
• BB Gun Riflery - The older Campers are challenged on our safe, closed BB-gun range. Safety, courtesy, and cooperation is emphasized. Goggles are worn by the Campers while they shoot. This activity is a great way to help develop hand-eye coordination and body control.
• Moonwalk - Carnival-type inflated tent in which children can jump, roll, and bounce.
• Turtles - A zippy, sit-down roller skate scooter
• Team Sports - Flag Football, Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Softball, Gatorball, Tee-ball, and more. We provide all the equipment. We place emphasis on teamwork, fairness, and good sportsmanship.
• Dance/Aerobics - Campers enjoy tumbling and mat exercises. Aerobics are practiced for coordination, endurance, and fun. Dance productions are also performed at Camp Talent Shows for Campers and parents alike. You may see your child on stage.
• Field Trips - We visit South Florida's exciting attractions on a weekly basis.
• Tennis - Campers are instructed in basic skills and court etiquette, and may participate in mini-Wimbledon tournaments.
• Summertime Treats
• Ceramics
• Sky Ride (a ski-chair lift-like cable that goes downhill) - Campers ride this and zip down the line over and over. Only Alexander Camp has this classic activity! Campers hop in the seat, fasten the seatbelt, and go!
• Daily Swimming - We provide daily Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety Instruction. The children focus on improving skills and endurance and then enjoy free swim time. Our Counselors also enter the pool with the children. Groups are set up by their experience and demonstrated ability to swim.
• Arts and Crafts - This activity provides an air-conditioned break in the busy day with a variety of media and projects to enjoy.
• Movies - A huge big-screen TV shows the most popular videos. Kids see zany comedies and classics and enjoy watching video tapes of themselves after performing for the Camp in various productions. This is a great way to cool down.
• Video Games - Single- and double-player non-stop fun on full-size TV monitors
• Indoor Sports and Activities in our air-conditioned gym
